rAgent Creation
rAgents Explained
At the core of ROME's AI economy lies resource-based Agent tokenization—transforming services, compute, data, social capital, and even specialized agents into rAgents (tokenized AI agents). These assets can be:
Owned – rAgents are tokenized as NFTs (ERC-721) or as self-sovereign Personal AI Agents (ERC-6551).
Staked – rAgents can be staked into Swarms towards AI and DePIN projects.
Lend – Users can lend their rAgents to others, earning fees from AI-driven workloads.
Used in DAPPs – ROME is one of the first protocols where tokenized agents can not only be managed by users but are also fully composable, allowing other developers to build DApps on top of our rAgents to enhance value, increase utility, and grow the ecosystem.
This turns Agents from an isolated technology into a financial asset class, with the potential for integration into the broader DeFi markets. It is also built on the modular, composable, and decentralized ROME framework, enabling other builders to expand the utility of rAgents and create their own blockchain solutions to grow Rome.
Simply put, our framework allows developers to introduce their own rAgents, Swarms, and DApps.
ROME is built upon 2 frameworks - MAO (Mass Agent Orchestration) and RAS (Resource-based Agent System). These frameworks will allow Swarm owners and DAPP creators to build unique solutions and fully leverage the potential of ROME.
Currently, 4 rAgents are available:
rX - Connect your X to launch a Social agent. Swarms can utilize social agents to spread their memetics, create agentic movements or launch collaborations.
rC - Run an rClient to launch a Compute rAgent. This can be used by Swarms for edge computation and low-level compute.
rD - Run an rClient to launch a Data rAgent. This can be used by Swarms to store data and use different Data services.
rE - Run a Linux-based rClient to launch an Execution rAgent. Such rAgents allow Swarms to run nodes, applications, agents and other software autonomously.
rAgents exist as long as the underlying resource is provided. If the resource stops being active, the rAgent is eliminated which will affect the user's reputation.
Minting and Creating rAgents
Head over to ROME and visit your Dashboard. Select the rAgent you want to create and follow the steps. rAgents allow you to earn rewards, and participate in Swarm formation and in the Lending Markets.
For minting $RX you'll need to connect your X account. For minting $RC, $RD, $RE head over to the rClien CLI Guide.
Important:
Before minting $RX, disconnecting your X account won’t result in any penalties. However, after minting $RX tokens, disconnecting your X account will automatically burn your Social rAgent tokens ($RX), which may lead to a loss of rewards.
For $RC, $RD, and $RE tokens, if you disconnect your rClient after minting, you’ll have a grace period to reconnect. Failing to reconnect within this period will result in your tokens being burned, which may lead to a loss of rewards.

Future implementation: We will continue to introduce new rAgent types in ROME.
